found in Great Lakes
Capital News 9
Researchers in the
United States and Canada said they have found pharmaceutical
components in some of the Great Lakes.
It's not certain whether
or not this poses a health risk, but some scientists worry
it may be contaminating drinking water.
A doctor with the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency said the water is also
contaminated with human waste that enters the lake through
the sewer system.
