08/27/2002- ACTION ALERT- LAKE ERIE POWERLINE
The National Energy Board and
the Department of Fisheries and Oceans are soliciting
comments from the public on the scope of the environmental
assessment on a proposal by Hydro One Delivery Services
Inc. (HODS) to construct and operate an international
power line between Canada and the United States across
Lake Erie. The project is referred to as the Lake
Erie Link.
The draft scope of the EA for the proposed project may
be obtained by calling the NEB's Publication office at
1-800-899-1265, by fax at (403) 292-5576, on the NEB's
internet site at www.neb-one.gc.ca, and on the Lake Erie
Link internet site at www.lakeerielink.com.
