The Toledo Blade

FINDLAY - Ducks Unlimited has received a $160,000 grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to start a Habitat for Healthy Water program in several areas.

The grant will provide funds to landowners who restore eligible wetlands within the Muddy Creek, Green Creek, Sandusky River main stem and the South Shore Bay tributaries of Lake Erie.

The initiative allows for Ducks Unlimited to pay 75 percent of the cost to restore wetlands.

Landowners must sign a contract for at least 10 years.
