Sign up for an event here. Create your own event below. OCA staff will help you organize your event, provide you with materials and promote it to the media. Types of events include:

  • Leafleting (i.e. We would provide you with informational leaflets that you and others would hand outside a store, school, or other location of your choice)
  • Rally (i.e. Break the Chains with a rally in a prominent and public area. Rallies are a great opportunity to both educate and celebrate our victories).
  • Picket (i.e. Call attention to unethical corporate chains with a picket in front of their stores. Pickets can be an effective tool in engaging people about a particular chain’s destructive practices and unique opportunity to offer local alternatives).
  • "Buycott" (i.e. Patronize local & independent businesses that reflect your green values! Working with local business owners and co-ops and promoting there goods and services is a key element to Breaking the Chains).
  • Educational event/presentation (i.e. We would provide you with informational materials to present in a workshop format at a local school, church or location of your choice.)
  • Breaking the Chains House Party (learn more)
  • Film Screening (i.e. organize the showing of one of our "Breaking the Chains" films at a local venue of your choice)

We will contact you with more information and materials for making your event a success. In the meantime, you can dlwonload an assortment of materials for your event on the left hand navigation bar of our Breaking the Chains campaign page. If you have problems or questions, email Ryan@organicconsumers.org or call Ryan Zinn at 916-529-4121
